Announcements

Spring has indeed sprung, and warmer weather is in the forecast. Castleford City Council would like to remind owners and tenants about the importance of maintaining your landscapes to prevent weeds from spreading.
City Hall is asking that all properties cut and or remove weeds per Ordinance No. 214 which details compliance, deadlines and how violations will be addressed.

The City of Castleford earned the title of Idaho's best-tasting water for 2025!
Water was judged on clarity, taste, and "boutique" at the Idaho Rural Water Association Spring Conference.

Scheduled Power Outage Notification
Idaho power will complete "Scheduled Maintenance" and power will be out for approximately 5-10 minutes on May 2, 2025 starting at 8 a.m. and again at 6 p.m. Please plan accordingly.
Change to Traffic Flow
Attention residents and commuters
We would like to inform you that starting April 1, 2025 Poplar will be converted to a one-way street.
This change is part of our efforts to resolve the issue of city meter boxes being in the streets.
Paving of Poplar is currently scheduled for May 2025. The Buhl Highway District will be coming in to shave down high spots and fill holes, then pave the next day.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we implement this change.
